A Little About Me

Hi, I’m John, a mortgage adviser with Delta Mortgages. I’m here to help each client find the perfect mortgage for their personal circumstances and to support them throughout the whole process, from application through to completion.

I started my career in finance before spending many years as a professional musician and event promoter. After the Covid lockdowns, I moved into property investment and renovation, which is what first brought me into contact with the mortgage world.

I now genuinely enjoy passing on my knowledge of the mortgage process to my clients—and I love the challenge of finding them the best deal possible.

Who I Work With

Typically, I help clients who are looking to purchase a new property or remortgage an existing loan, whether that’s residential or buy-to-let. I also work with portfolio landlords.

My interest in buy-to-let mortgages originally came from my own investment experience, which meant staying up to date with the latest developments in the market. So I’m always happy to chat about property prices, interest rate movements, or the impact of the Renters’ Reform Bill once it finally kicks in…

I’m here to help you choose the right mortgage for your circumstances and to support you from application through to completion—whether it’s a purchase, remortgage, product transfer, residential or buy-to-let.

Once I’ve taken the time to understand your situation, I’ll research the market, make a clear recommendation, submit your application to the lender, and see it through to offer—handling any issues that crop up along the way (including things like adverse credit). Problem-solving is my forte! And once your offer is issued, I’ll keep an eye on the lender’s rates in case a cheaper product becomes available.

At every step, I’m here to answer your questions, understand the finer details of your situation, and find the best solution for you—because every case is unique.

Me Outside Delta

Outside of mortgage advising, I also dabble in property renovations, so you’ll often find me on-site with the architect or contractors, helping to keep the project moving. I used to be a professional jazz piano player and promoter too, so I still play gigs whenever I can.

I enjoy cycling and swimming—especially charity fundraising challenges like my annual Swimathon or cycling from London to Rome (just one way, mind!). Day to day, you’ll usually find me doing the school run or walking the dog—the simple pleasures!
