The Opportunity

At Delta Mortgages, we believe that the best service comes from a team that is knowledgeable, empowered, and engaged. In your role, you are not just fulfilling a set of tasks—you are helping clients achieve their homeownership goals while contributing to a high-performing, collaborative team.

In the role, you will:

  • Provide expert advice and support to clients, guiding them through the mortgage process with clarity and confidence.

  • Manage and process mortgage applications from initial enquiry to completion.

  • Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and internal policies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in company systems for audit and compliance purposes.

  • Work closely with lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless client journey.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and contribute to team success.

Deliverables

You’ll be responsible for:

  • A comprehensive analysis of the client's financial situation, including income, expenses, credit history, and financial goals.

  • Personalised advice on suitable mortgage options, considering the client's specific needs and circumstances.

  • Clear explanations of different mortgage products, interest rates, and repayment terms.

  • Research and comparison of mortgage products from various lenders.

  • Identification of the most competitive interest rates and favorable terms available to the client.

  • Presentation of suitable mortgage options to the client.

  • Prompt responses to client inquiries and concerns.

 

Basically, you’ll be doing what you do best, but with a team that has your back.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has the following:


Experience

  • Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP).

  • A solid understanding of relevant mortgage products and regulatory requirements.

  • Previous experience in a regulated financial services environment.

  • At least two years of experience in a similar role.

  • Desirable: Certificate in Equity Release. 

  • Desirable: Exam or Certification in Protection Planning.

Critical Competencies

 

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.

  • Excellent organisational skills—able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial services software.

  • A strong sense of commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to support business growth.

All functions in this role must comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the relevant FCA rules at all times and adhere to laid-down operating procedures and to the set service level standards for both internal and external clients.  Ensuring that company systems and databases are kept up to date for audit purposes.
